I Bought A New Hard Drive,how Do You Transfer Data?
Posted on February 13th, 2010 4 commentsI bought a bigger HD (on sale) so now I want to install it.I have the original recovery discs that came with the computer (Windows Vista Premium).And I just created a complete backup on three discs.So do I just install the new HD,install the original recovery or use my latest discs?

Posted on December 6th, 2009 3 commentsI need to reformat my Laptop and I have important documents on the drive. How can I transfer the data to my desktop. The laptop doesnt boot up properly so I cant copy it normally. I already have an adapter to convert it from 44 pin to 40 pin. When I turn on the computer, the drive is there, but when I open it, the window closes right away. Is there like a recovery program I can use. I have advanced computer knowledge so please help me in anyway. I need that data otherwise I wouldnt care.

Or will a back up work on another hard drive. I guess my question here would be can I back up my tower then move the back up to another hard drive and have it function normally? I have several programs I am using and to install all of them on several systems will be time consuming.
