Data Lost Problem…. H E L P !?
Posted on January 11th, 2010 1 commentTomorrow night i was copying some data from my Data traveler to my hard disk… During the copy process my computer turned off due to power failure. Now the folder in which i was copying the data is no longer available as a folder… it is now a file with no extension which is not brows-able and data inside is no longer available… There is almost 50 Mb of data inside that folder and now the file is only of some Kb’s … Please let me know how to get back my data or is there some third party software which can retrieve the data back from that folder….
I have tried some data recovery software but they did not correct the error of that specific folder..
Any help in this regard will be appreciated. -
Could The Design Of The Program Or Operating System Itself Cause The Problem?
Posted on December 26th, 2009 1 commentRecall a time when you were frustrated by the way a program or operating system was functioning. How did you solve the problem? For example, did you use a help desk, user manual, or solve the problem on your own? Could the design of the program or operating system itself cause the problem? …

Have I Lost My Data (pen Drive Problem)?
Posted on December 25th, 2009 1 commentI just put my memory stick/pen drive into an old computer and a warning appeared on the screen (windows) that said something like ‘a power surge has occurred on this USB port and device cannot be recognised’. Now the memory stick isn’t recognised on any computer. Does this mean the data is lost too? Are there any freeware data recovery programs that might help? There was a lot of university work on there and I’m not sure how much of it was backed up….

Does Changing The Operating System Overcome The Problem Of Blue Screen Of Death?
Posted on November 12th, 2009 5 commentsMy current OS is Windows Vista Starter, and since I upgraded my RAM to 1,5 GB, my PC kept displaying BSOD and restarted itself.
I am a student, and I have some “economical problems” to purchase an original OS license. So I’ve been thinking of switching to Ubuntu, which is a free open-source OS.
Does by switching to another operating system, in this case Ubuntu, my PC will not crash again? -

What Antivirus Software Should I Use With This Problem?
Posted on September 14th, 2009 11 commentsI curently have a problem with my PC. It seems that it has a virus that kees me form shutting my PC down. It keeps restarting even if I choose the shut down option.
My current antivirus software is updated and I have tried other softwares but it seems this virus is unknown because it cannot be cured by the latest softwares. My PC is also only 1 month ols so PC hardware is not the issue in this (and I have also checked if it is a hardware problem).
My problem is I keep unplugging my PC for it to shut down and might cause damage somehow to my PC or AVR.
Does anybody have the same problems? Can you please help me on how to solve this.
Thank you very much. Your advice will be greatly appreciated. -
