What Is The Best Antivirus Home Computer Program Out There That Won’t Dramatically Slow Down My Computer?

I’m looking for a good program (I’m not looking for FREE) I don’t mind paying, but I would like to regain some speed back.

I Restored My Computer With Restore Dvd’s, Can I Possibly Get Files Back?

However, I forgot a folder that I had hidden somewhere because they were important documents and I didn’t want to accidentally delete them or something.
Well I restored my computer to factory conditions, and forgot about that folder.
If those files haven’t been written over, can I still get them back somehow, like with a data recovery program? Some of the files include music and pictures…
How can I possibly get them back?
