Question On Adding Another Hard Drive To A Windows 95 Operating System. Have I Done This Right?
Posted on February 14th, 2010 5 commentsI just got a computer with a Windows 95 operating system and have added a second hard drive. It comes up as a new drive instead of adding on to the C: drive. Do I need to change the slave setting on the hard drive that I have added? I am pretty sure I had it set right but am not sure if this is just due to it being and older system.

Recovering Hard Drive Data Through Installation As S Secondary Hard Drive On Another Computer?
Posted on January 28th, 2010 2 commentsI have a [win vista] laptop that cannot boot properly anymore. I would like to recover the data from the laptop hard drive. My current plan is to take out that [SATA] hard drive and plug it into my [win xp] desktop computer so I can transfer files from that laptop hard drive to the computer. I already have an IDE-SATA adapter so that’s not a problem. The problem is, my hard drive is not being recognized by the desktop computer. Since I’m a noob when it comes down to computer hardware, what am I doing wrong? Could someone post instructions? Would this process even work? Or could someone offer me alternate, but *inexpensive* data recovery methods, or perhaps easier ways? Thanks.

If I Am Writing Lots Of Data On One Partition Will It Affect Another?
Posted on November 9th, 2009 1 commentI have a partition 97 GB which the boot record has been corrupted on. I have 50+ GB of unallocated space and another 10 GB Partition. Can I safely use data recovery software on one partition to transfer the files from one partition to another? Both would be with Win XP Pro of course. The program I intend to use is here http://www.runtime.org/gdb.htm its own documentation states that I should use 2 HDDs but wouldnt 2 partitions work the same way? I have E-mailed them and didnt recive much help. Im sure you guys can do much better.
