What Is The Best Antivirus Home Computer Program Out There That Won’t Dramatically Slow Down My Computer?
Posted on February 28th, 2010 7 commentsI have Verizon’s Interent secuity suite installed and although I’m sure its good at doing its job, it has really slowed down everything on my computer. I’m looking for a good program (I’m not looking for FREE) I don’t mind paying, but I would like to regain some speed back.

When you are willing to pay for good protection there are a couple of very good internet security programs.
I can only recommend the programs I used myself
ESET Smart Security – 9 out of 10 – Found more malware than the others did.
Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 – 8 out of 10
Bitdefender Total Security – 8 out of 10
All these programs do not slow down your computer
You can protect your computer very well with free programs. The best way is to use a combination of anti virus and anti spyware programs
Anti virus and firewall prohttp://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/d…
orhttp://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht…
in combination withhttp://www.pctools.com/firewall/
Spywareblasterhttp://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareb…
Threatfire is an anti virus, that can be installed next to any other anti virus program on the same computerhttp://www.threatfire.com/
This is a very good program, that completely runs in the backgroundhttp://www.comodo.com/boclean/boclean.ht…
Anti spywarehttp://www.spywareterminator.com/http://en.kioskea.net/telecharger/telech…http://www.download.com/Advanced-System-…
Installing these programs, will not use any extra RAM or CPU usage. -
If you want a really good anti virus program then i suggest that You use ESET Smart Security, built on the award-winning ESET NOD32® Anti virus and its powerful ThreatSense® engine.
I use it and so far my pc hasn’t got infected and besides it has the the highest detection ever and has never missed in In-the-Wild Viruses in the VB Test since 1998. if you want you can try ESET 30 days trial on this link:

Well i use ESET Smart Security and i have no problems.ESET has the highest detection rate and takes very very little resources ( trust me you’re pc wil be running like a turbo) and has fastest scan ever and i garauntee 100% that it will detect all the viruses.
If you dont want to pay for it after the trial you can get free keys from here:http://nod321.com/ note its a chinese site -

These AV`s are all free and good. I prefer AVG, been using it for 3 years with no problem.http://www.free-av.com/http://free.avg.com/http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-…
You also could use some good anti spyware;http://www.superantispyware.com/http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Ant…

I had Norton and it was the worst. I now use Windows Live One Care and it works well in the background without slowing everything down.
