    • I can’t believe the stupidity of those who have answered before me…
“explorer.exe” is NOT internet explorer. “explorer.exe” is the main system file that runs in windows. It is *Windows Explorer*, the program that gives you the start menu, any window that you can *explore* your hard drive or any program, and the desktop.
When you ran your antivirus program to remove the virus, it did not remove a debugger key in the registry. This key is stopping windows from running the explorer.exe program.
You will need to edit your registry, if you do not feel comfortable doing so, you need to speak to a professional technician.
First, you will need to access the regedit program. When booting into safe mode, hold down Control + Alt + Delete to open the task manager. Then click on File and “New Task (Run)”. Type “regedit”.
Second, you will need to backup your registery. Click File then Export. Select the desktop or any other place you wish to save the file, make sure the “All” is selected in the export range box at the bottom of the window. Name the file and then click Save.
Third, remove the corrupt key. On the left side, click the + next to:
      - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
      - SOFTWARE
      - Microsoft
      - Windows NT
      - CurrentVersion
      - Image File Execution Options
Find explorer.exe and click on the folder. You should see a “Debugger” item in the right window. Right click on this and select “Delete”. After doing this, close the window at the top and restart the computer. (you may have to press the power button on the computer to do this since you have no start menu).
When you restart, windows should open up fully. You may want to run a virus scan one more time to make sure everything is removed.

    • Get a new browser or download and reinstall IE,
      Mozilla Firefoxhttp://download.mozilla.org/?product=fir… (direct download)
      Opera http://www.opera.com/download/get.pl?id=… (direct download)
Safari http://www.apple.com/safari/download/ (you have to put in your email address)
Microsoft Internet Explorerhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai… (you have to press download)
Once you have downloaded one install it and enjoy
      i hope this helps
      :EDIT:
The reason the .exe file cannot be found is because it was infected, if you have got rid of the virus just re-install IE thats all, dont bother checking for more Malware just as long as your sure that the virus has gone, re-install IE and that should work
IE = Internet Explore (link Above)
Also, you shouldnt get the error on startup, it should only be when you try to surf the internet, it has happened because the icon you are clicking on is a ’shortcut’ linked to “C:/Program Files/Internet Explorer/Explore.exe” when the .exe was removed because the .bat and .exe were infected (probably by WinTR1uvs.exe (dont worry anout that)) the shortcut became a “broken” link, all you have to as mentioned several times by me is get a new browser or reinstall internet exlplorer,
I would reccomend Mozilla Firefox, But if you are comfortable with IE Keep with it all the download links provided are free and mostly all browsers are free

    • your anti virus has removed the executable file by which internet explorer runs. try downloading the newer version or which ever version you want of IE again.
The new IE will have the .exe file and you won’t see that message while browsing.
However i don’t know how to remove that error after your computer starts.
