Rearranging Recovered Data?
Posted on January 31st, 2010 2 commentsi accidently formatted my hard drive due to which i lost some of my important files accounting upto 53 gigs of hd space.Now i have recovered them back using data recovery wizard pro but there’s still a problem.It has saved all my files in different numerous folders(like root,dir etc.).so, it is now difficult for me to rearrange them.
All my software and game setup files are scattered here and there in different folders.AS you can see its impossible for me to place them back on there original place.So please help me.Is there any utility or some way by which i can put all those files back to the position that they were at before the format.Any help will be apprec -

How Can I Recover Data From Physically Damaged Hard Drive?
Posted on January 31st, 2010 3 commentsI have a western digital 160 gig hard drive that suffered some physical damage(a glass cup fell on it while it was operating). Ever since then it makes a slight click noise(not real loud). It wont boot up obviously and when i go to the BIOS screen, it will recognize the drive’s ID, link speed etc but where it says capacity it says “unknown” next to it. What does this mean? And how can i recover the data from it without sending it to those expensive data recovery companies???

Why Won’t The Songs From Itunes On My Recovery Disc Work?
Posted on January 30th, 2010 1 comment2 months ago, my hard drive failed after my laptop fell off a keyboard ledge. I was in the long term process of backing up my iTunes library, which came as a great annoyance and seeing the irony of the crash happening at that particular moment. Another Irony being that my last iPod broke a year ago.
I sent my failed hard drive off to a data recovery clinic who managed to rescue most of my hard drive and put it onto a series of dvd’s. I bought a new hard drive for my laptop. I installed iTunes and have burned all the music from albums I own onto iTunes. However, when I come to the music I have purchased (which shows up as a lock symbol), it won’t play. These songs are from the recovery DVD’s sent to me and appear undrer iTunes in the My Music folder. I double click on the icon, it takes me to iTunes but nothing else happens. It recognises the file but refuses to play.
Why won’t iTunes recognise the songs? There is nothing wrong with the DVD they are on!
